Connecting

the MarcDuino v1

This is the original connection diagram for v1 boards running v1 firmware. If you want to run v2 firmware (mostly to gain I2C functionality), use this connection page instead.

MarcDuino v1 Master Connections

10 dome panel servos, the MP3 Trigger sound board, and the Slave board connect to the Master. Optionally, you can connect an RC channel receiver output to gain manual control over the dome panel servos.

The 10 servo panels connect to the Master on the Servo 1 to Servo 10 outlets. The servo number corresponds to the panel number on the R2 Touch app screen. The orange or yellow lid of the servo connector goes towards the bottom of the board, the black or braun wire should face towards the top.

This shows the connection for the MP3 Trigger sound system. For connecting the CF-III sound system, see here.

The servo number corresponds to the panel number on the R2 Touch app screen pictured here.

For the panels to open and close correctly, you must orient the servo in the dome as shown here. If you have not followed this, there is an alternate version of the firmware that moves the all the servos in the other direction (see Firmware Upload). It is not possible to reverse the servos individually.

MarcDuino v1 Slave Connections

6 Holo Servos, 3 Holo Lights, the Teeces dome light board and the Magic Panel connect to the Slave. Additionally you can connect one RC channel to gain manual control of the holo vertical servos.

Servo plug orientation: the yellow or orange wire should face the bottom of the board, the black or braun wire should face the top of the board as seen in the picture.

The pin location on the Teeces depends on the controller you use. Look for a pin named RX or RX1.

Only one holo light is shown fully wired to Servo 7. The other holo lights connect just the same on Servo 8 and 9 ports. Short circuit the two + terminal at the holo side.

To connect a mclwhlr Magic Panel on Servo 10, refer to this page.

To connect a JEDI Display board instead of the Teeces light system, refer to this page.
